Run every race like it is your last.

The lesson
Pressure from outside expectations can make you tighter, slower and smaller. Enjoying the work does the opposite. That is Flourishing Under No Pressure: you still care about the result, but you stop carrying everyone else's expectations into the moment.
On the track
One athlete was performing worse under pressure. The turning point was deciding to enjoy every race like it was the last one. Personal bests followed. Relaxed is not the same as careless. Relaxed is fast.
In life
Before the presentation, the exam or the big game for your kid, drop the weight of what others expect. Do the thing well because you enjoy doing it well. You will usually do it better.
Today's small action
Do one task today purely for the joy of doing it well.
